Trash, restore, and delete a model
Move a planning model to the trash, restore it to the library, or delete it permanently.
The trash is the archive for planning models. A model in the trash leaves the library, but Eigenn keeps it. You can restore it later. A permanent delete removes the model, and you cannot undo it.
Only a workspace Owner can trash, restore, or delete a model. For other members, the Trash list stays empty.
1. Move a model to the trash
- Go to Scenario planning.
- Point to the model card.
- Click its actions button (Actions for the model name).
- Select Move to trash.
Eigenn moves the model at once, without a confirmation step.
What happens while a model is in the trash
- The model does not show in the library, in Favorites, or in the search.
- Teammates cannot open the views that were shared from it.
- Scheduled version captures skip the model.
- Eigenn keeps the model data, its saved versions, and its view shares.
The trash has no time limit. A model stays there until you restore it or delete it.
2. Restore a model
- On the models home, click Restore.
- The Trash list opens. It shows the trashed models, with the most recent first. Each row shows when the model went to the trash.
- On the model row, click the restore button (Restore and the model name).
The model goes back to the library. It keeps its folder and its favorite stars. If someone deleted that folder, the model goes back to the library root. Shared views open again for the teammates who had access.
3. Delete a model permanently
You can delete a model permanently only from the trash.
- On the models home, click Restore.
- On the model row, click the delete button (Permanently delete and the model name).
- Read the message. It says that Eigenn removes the model and its saved calculation state.
- Click Delete forever. To stop, click Cancel.
Delete a folder
Deleting a folder does not trash its models. Eigenn moves them to the library root. For the steps, see The models home and folders.
