Views
A view is a saved, filtered focus over one model that you can open again or share with a teammate.
A view is a saved focus over one model. It has a name, an optional description, and a list of filters. When you open a view, the grid shows only the variables, dimension items, scenarios, periods, and charts that its filters allow.
A view does not copy the model. It shows the live model through its filters. When a value in the model changes, the view shows the new value. To keep the model as it is on a date, save a version.
Use a view to:
- show one department or one region of a large model
- prepare a focused review, such as revenue for the next two quarters
- give a teammate access to part of a model without the full model
Find the views of a model
Go to Scenario planning → open a model → select Views. The menu lists All variables and each saved view of the model. Select a view name to apply it. Select All variables to show the model without view filters.
A change of view does not change model values. The star marks the default view. The model opens with its default view applied.

Who can use views
- Only a workspace Owner can open the full model. An Owner can create, edit, reorder, duplicate, delete, and share views.
- Other teammates open a view only when an Owner shares it with them. They see the view and not the full model.
Pages in this group
- Create and edit a view: name a view, add filters, and manage the list of views.
- Filter a view: the filter types and how they combine.
- Share a view: give a teammate view or edit access, and what the teammate sees.
