Fortnox

What Fortnox data a planning model can use today, and what the Fortnox card in the Data sources catalog does not do.

Fortnox has a card in the Data sources catalog, but you cannot create a planning source from it. The card shows No planning datasets yet. Eigenn does not bring a Fortnox P&L, balance sheet, or category rollup into a model.

Fortnox invoices can still reach a model. Eigenn imports invoices from a connected Fortnox account. A model can read them as invoice actuals, the same as QuickBooks invoices.

1. What the Data page shows

  1. Go to Scenario planning → Data → click New.
  2. Click the Accounting tab.
  3. Find the Fortnox card. It is greyed out, and you cannot select it.

You cannot create a Fortnox source. Thus, the Data page lists no Fortnox source to refresh.

2. Connect Fortnox

  1. Go to Marketplace.
  2. Find the Fortnox card.
  3. On the card, click Install.
  4. In the window that opens, sign in to Fortnox and approve access.

Eigenn syncs each connected accounting app every 6 hours. For Fortnox, each sync imports customers, then invoices, then payments.

3. Use Fortnox invoices as actuals

  1. Open the model and click Model settings → Data sources.
  2. Under Actual data, select fortnox in the provider list.
  3. Select Issued invoice amount or Issued invoice count.
  4. Select a variable.
  5. Click Attach actuals.

You can also click Import actuals above the grid. Eigenn adds the rows "Issued invoices (fortnox)" and "Issued invoices (fortnox) count".

The provider list shows fortnox only after Eigenn imports at least one Fortnox invoice with an amount and an issue date.

Each invoice counts in the period that contains its issue date. The calculation rules are the same as for QuickBooks. See QuickBooks.

4. Limits

  • No P&L, balance sheet, or account-level actuals from Fortnox.
  • No cash or accrual setting.
  • No refresh control on the Data page. New invoices arrive with the next accounting sync. After the invoice import, Eigenn updates the models that link fortnox actuals. You can also click Refresh actuals above the grid.
  • Eigenn does not convert currencies for invoice actuals.

To ask for a Fortnox planning dataset, click Request under Not finding what you need? in the Data sources dialog.
